Meet Putol, a sweet and resilient six-year-old puppy who has captured the hearts of many with her remarkable ability to walk and run on two legs. Despite being born with only her front legs, Putol has never let her disability hinder her zest for life.
Abandoned and left to fend for herself, Putol’s future was uncertain until Danilo Codilego Jr. stepped in and took her under his care. Danilo, who is now Putol’s loving owner, recalls that others doubted Putol’s ability to survive due to her unique condition. However, he was determined to give her a chance at life.

With Danilo’s love and support, Putol has not only survived but has thrived. She has adapted to her circumstances and can run at an incredible pace on her two front legs. Putol is often seen exploring the streets and gutters of the Casiguran district of Quezon City with other dogs, and her playful spirit and joyful energy are infectious.

Despite the challenges that come with Putol’s condition, Danilo considers himself fortunate to have her in his life. He affectionately calls her Putol, which means “chopped” in the Tagalog language of Luzon, The Philippines, a fitting name for a dog with only two front legs. Danilo admits that he struggled to come up with a name for her, but he knew from the start that he wanted to give her the best life possible.

Putol’s resilience and determination to live life to the fullest are an inspiration to all who encounter her. She does not let her disability define her and instead focuses on enjoying every moment.
